How I maximize my Time Value

Maximize Your Time: Know Your Why

Are you looking to manage your time more efficiently ? For me, the Time Value (TV) is far more valuable than the Money Value (MV). Since time is something we can never get back, I focus on using it wisely. Return on Investment (ROI) includes both MV and TV, but time is the irreplaceable resource. By managing my time effectively, I can lead a more balanced life between work, family, and personal enjoyment. Investing in myself has been my best investment.

E-mail Management Tips

Efficient email management is key to freeing up time for what truly matters. Here’s how I use Outlook to streamline my inbox and stay productive:

  • Get Organized: Set up a clear folder structure to categorize emails
  • Unsubscribe: Clean out unnecessary newsletters and junk emails
  • Delete: Remove emails that don’t add value
  • Inbox Management: Ruthlessly prioritize and focus only on important emails
  • Actionize Emails: Create or respond with as much details as feasible at one go, save crucial information, and close email threads ASAP to minimize round trips

Message Management for Productivity

Just like emails, managing messages efficiently on WhatsApp is essential. Here’s my approach to staying focused:

  • Prioritize: My WhatsApp home page only includes chats with family, close friends, and relatives
  • Archive Chats: Only a few important ones are archived
  • Lock and Mute: All other chats are in a locked section
  • Mute Notifications: Everything is muted except the main chats

Task Management with Apple Notes

Efficient task management is just as crucial. I use Apple Notes to stay organized:

  • Prioritize Daily Tasks: My most important tasks are listed in my first Apple Note.
  • Replica Notes: Other notes act as quick references for data I need on the go.

Go Paperless: Digital Efficiency

In line with Stephen Covey’s first habit, “Be Proactive,” I’ve created a nearly paperless system. It is a 100% digital system for managing both work and personal tasks. This has allowed me to reduce time spent on admin tasks from 70% to just 17%. This change has freed up more time for meaningful activities like my daily 1-2 hour walks. With over 14.6 million steps walked, these daily strolls give me time to reflect and boost mental clarity.

I’ve embraced an evolving digital workflow that makes everything easier to manage, analyze, and scale. From managing tasks to finances, investments, taxes, and even health, going digital has simplified my life. Fewer variables mean fewer challenges, and when problems arise, I know exactly where to find and fix them.

Essential Productivity Tools

Here are the tools I rely on to stay productive and manage my digital life:

  • Outlook for email management
  • WhatsApp for streamlined messaging
  • Apple Notes for task management
  • Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides for documentation, data analysis, and collaboration

What has most value

By keeping things simple, organized, and digital, I’ve managed to maximize my Time Value. This has helped me achieve a balanced, productive lifestyle.
